About
Now in its seventh year, Pedal Power has made significant contributions to the local community. This biking event puts top riders, neighbours and friends on a journey to raise food, money and awareness for the Edmonton Food Bank.
Founder Art Angielski describes the goal behind the big event. “Everybody measures success differently, but if you look inwards and see you’re capable to continue moving forwards while members of your community may not, it is my belief that it’s your responsibility to give back. Our partnership with the Edmonton Food Bank came with the fact that food is the most essential necessity. If there are people missing such a basic need and we can make a significant contribution to remedy it, we’ve succeeded” He sums up his thoughts with – “Because we can, why would we not?” Why cycling? “I’ve always loved biking! Through my passion I’ve developed long-standing relationships with friends in the sport who are always willing to go the extra mile. If we’re giving back to the community let’s have fun with it!”
Pedal Power runs this December 4th - 6th inside at Sherwood Park Toyota. Register to ride or make a charitable donation.
